On June 4th and 5th, respectively, bassist Yuu and guitarist Mizuki updated their Ameba blogs with the announcement that they’ll leave Poltergeist in July. Unfortunately, information outside of their comments is scant. The band’s OHP has no updates regarding it, and as of yet there are no announcements about future activity for Poltergeist, which will be left with only two members.
From Yuu and Mizuki, translated by our own Elena:
This is Yuu.
This is late, but at the event the other day we made another announcement.
Because of circumstances at home until now my bass playing has been sloppy and I haven’t been able to perform properly, and band activities have become very difficult. So, after the 7.19 one-man live at Shinjuku URGA, I will be withdrawing from Poltergeist.
To everyone who has supported me, I am truly sorry.
Until the very end, I want to enjoy the lives as usual with the beloved members and everyone who supports Poltergeist.
It’s late but once more…
After the live on 7.19 at Shinjuku URGA I will be leaving Poltergeist.
I’ve talked it over many times with the members and the president and this is what we decided.
I cannot continue any further than this due to circumstances at home, so I decided.
Although it’s very little, to make more time we decided to have a live on 7.5.
Let’s make it a time with no regrets.
Instead of making memories, let’s make this a time to face the future together.
We’ll keep an eye out for updates regarding the future of Poltergeist.
