X JAPAN postpones lives

So, YOSHIKI is ill again and X JAPAN has put their world tour on the back burner.
The following is a translated excerpt from a Japanese news site (I’m not doing the whole article, because it just repeats stuff about YOSHIKI and it’s not really relevant to the news at hand).
On the 8th it was found out that the popular rock band, X JAPAN, had postponed their world tour that was covering places such as Paris, Taipei and New York for an indefinite amount of time.
The band’s leader, YOSHIKI suffers from a chronic disc herniation which has flamed up again, and therefore he is under doctor’s orders to rest. Having this serious illness he is not able to put such a burden on his body, and their future activites are still undecided.
Will X JAPAN return to the stage!?

Jun 9th, 2008 @ 10:27 am2Reply to this comment.According to JRR, this is only a rumor right now. The newspaper that initially reported it didn’t cite any sources, and the only source everyone else has used was that newspaper. o.o
Now, if it turns out they’re wrong and this is in fact a true story, then more than anything I hope Yoshiki recovers, even if it does mean canceling the world tour. But for now, I’m not going to panic unless this story is more than just a rumor.

They’re not saying that the tour is cancelled, it’s just postponed for the time being, until they figure out what the best plan of action is to take… according to my understanding of the Japanese source.
And the Yahoo! news, credits SANSPO.
In all honeslty, if it was just a rumour I don’t think it would have spread this far without someone seeing it and stopping it. :/
