It seemed like things were going great for Moran with the announcement of their latest one-man tour, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Moran announced earlier today that they will be disbanding following their one-man show in September. The band members have been through a lot of conflict this past year, so much that it seems the band is unable to continue on. Read the official announcement below (translated by yours truly):
Since its formation, Moran has continued with the concept of “total art,” a fusion of fashion and music; but following our one-man live on 9/21 at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo, we will disband.
The band has experienced much discord, worry, and differing views since last year. After repeated discussions among the members, we decided that the most beautiful way to put an end to this is to disband.
Thank you to all of our fans, Holics, and staff for your all of your support.
It was thanks to you that we were able to come this far.
Our activities will come to an end on 9/21,
but we hope that you can give Moran your support until then.
The Members of Moran
That strife among the members manifested almost a year ago when member Soan announced his departure and the band’s planned hiatus. We haven’t heard anything since then, but it seems like this is the alternate decision the band made.
Each member has commented on the disbandment; S-T will update you as soon as those are translated. For details on their last tour, check out our previous article.
