It’s not often you hear the words “visual kei” and “academics” in the same sentence, but Matenrou Opera‘s Ayame is an exception.
On July 12th, Ayame will give a talk at the The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (京都情報大学院大学) on the subject “Music and Technology: A Chronicle of the Connection Between Primitive Music and Electronic Music.” There are only 50 slots at the university to hear the talk in person, but it will also be broadcast to the university’s Tokyo and Sapporo schools via satellite.
