An Important Announcement from JILKA
Thank you for your warm and continuous support for JILKA.
We have an announcement for everyone.
JILKA is a project that began activities on 2015.2.15,
but around April, bassist Sana’s chronic medical condition relapsed.
We planned on continuing activities while watching his illness’s progress,
but due to his strong conviction, we decided that continuing activities would be difficult.
We ended activities after our 2015.05.23 performance.
Our activities were very short, but along with being grateful to all of the support we have received,
we also sincerely apologize for this sudden news.
Sana followed up on the official announcement by posting this Tweet:
I’m really sorry.
Like Naoki wrote in his blog, I suffer from Meniere’s disease.
All of this was brought on by my own weakness.
Vocalist Naoki, the other half of JILKA, is still planning on continuing with music. He has renewed his official blog and hopes to return to the stage as soon as possible. As for Sana, we can only hope that he can find a way to make his condition more manageable.
