For those of you who happen to be both a metalhead and a gamer, we’ve got a real treat for you. Last we talked about DAZZLE VISION, they were featured in the Sads respect album and participated in the “carnival of evil” two-day live event. Since then, they also released their sixth album “Final Attack” back in March. You can check out their PV for “Final Attack,” and get a feel for Maiko’s iconic scream. DAZZLE VISION’s vocalist Maiko has been busy with a project in conjunction with Tsuyoshi Ishikawa and Jin Kanza (former member) of the band Pay money to my Pain/The BONEZ. The song will be featured in a new game: Final Fantasy Agito.
Pay money To my Pain is currently not active after their lead singer K tragically passed away suddenly in the December of 2012. However, the band was able to finish their fourth album “gene” in which K’s vocals are featured. It was released November of 2013, and like most of their music, features English lyrics. For more information, please check out their website. With Maiko, Tsuyoshi, and Jin combining their skills, what kind of epic battle theme awaits?
For those not too into the gaming scene, the Final Fantasy series is wildly popular worldwide, with the main series having more than thirteen titles, in addition to many side titles. While most games are available on many gaming platforms, this new installment is specifically for smartphones. Final Fantasy Agito is compatible with Androids, iPhones, iPads, and the iPod Touch. It is optimized for the iPhone 5, and was released May 14th. It is designed to make use of your touch screen, so navigation and fighting will be literally at your fingertips. Unfortunately, if you find you can’t get this game from the iTunes store or the Google store, it is likely because it’s currently only available in Japan.
Final Fantasy Agito allows players to kill time and monsters, and is a live RPG where you can make your own character and slash your way into missions. The character you create is known simply as the Cadet, and is chosen to be Agito, which basically means you have to save the world from its’ untimely destruction. It doesn’t help that the world, Orience, is already war-torn to begin with. Much of the game can be played solo, but there are also multiplayer challenges. Feel free to check out the official website to get a feel for the game, or watch the video below of some magical gameplay.
Maiko’s role in particular relates to the community boss battles available only on the weekends, called “toubatsusen.” Players are given the opportunity to fight powerful bosses with other players, and the epic boss music will include Maiko’s vocals. If you’d like to hear it for yourself, you’ll have to level up and get ready for a tough fight. Be sure to invite some friends with you for this challenge, and check out the new boss battle song.
