A slight bump in the road for MEJIBRAY, one of the scene’s hottest upcoming bands. Just days ago, drummer Meto suffered a bone fracture after a nasty fall, and as a result, a few shows of their long-awaited one-man tour celebrating their third anniversary have been postponed. You can read the band’s official announcement below, translated by our own Ku:

MEJIBRAY’s 3rd anniversary 7-city one-man tour “Shinsou: SM=Itsuka Hibiki Wataru Utsukushiki Minikui Voice Diver”

A postponement announcement to customers who purchased tickets for the Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Osaka, or Nagoya performances

May 23 (Fri) @ Hiroshima Namiki Junction
May 25 (Sun) @ Fukuoka DRUM Be-1
May 30 (Fri) @ Umeda CLUB QUATTRO
June 1 (Sun) @ Nagoya Bottom Line

For these shows — included in MEJIBRAY’s 3rd anniversary 7-city one-man tour, “Shinsou: SM=Itsuka Hibiki Wataru Utsukushiki Minikui Voice Diver,”
Due to MEJIBRAY’s drummer, Meto, suffering a fracture from an accidental fall in the early morning of the 23rd (Friday),
Doctors have advised that Meto rest from performing in order to concentrate on recovery.

He is currently hospitalized in Hiroshima for treatment, but is not in serious condition.

Hearing this, the band has consulted with the tour sponsors and decided that Meto’s recovery should be top priority,
And though it’s unfortunate, we have decided to postpone the performances at Hiroshima Namiki Junction, Fukuoka DRUM Be-1, Umeba CLUB QUATTRO, and Nagoya Bottom Line.

We would like to deeply apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to these performances for any inconvenience caused.

Today, May 23rd (Friday), we will hold a handshake meet and greet at Hiroshima Namiki Junction at 6:30 with Tsuzuku, MiA, and Koichi.

Furthermore, once we adjust our current schedule for the make-up performances, we will announce the new dates on MEJIBRAY’s official home page.

※For customers seeking refunds in accordance with the postponements, please see MEJIBRAY’s official home page for details.
