larcenceil-goes-on-hiatus

I debated for a while whether I’d post this or not, because this band is not a visual band. But I figured I might as well, because a lot of fans of visual bands also like L’Arc~en~Ciel and this is pretty big news.

The band has decided that after the summer release of their new single “NEXUS 4 / SHINE” the band will be going on an activity pause until the year 2011.

2011 will mark 20 years of the band being together and thus they will be holding a “2011 Next Live 20th Anniversary Live”.

During the pause, the members intent on doing solo work.

This is really sad. I learned about them since Hyde was in Moon Child with Gackt, and they were good friends, so I checked them out. Then, I got really addicted. That was 2 days ago (Yes, I’m slow.)

I can’t believe they’re going on hiatus for so long, since they’re a really wonderful band. I’ll miss them until 2011… Wish them all luck on their solo activities, too.

  2. ranearia says:

At least they’re not disbanding so that’s good news~

  3. Komishika says:

Well they kinda used to be a little visual waaaay back in the day so it’s still relevant!
It’s kinda weird to announce a 3 year pause considering they’ve done their solo projects while still doin l’arc stuff, but of course l’arc didn’t do as much while they were. Gawds have they really been around 17 years now? guess they were just barely 10 when I started listening to them.

  4. livi says:

Nah they’re way too strong to disband.
But I mean.. 2011… do they need that long?!
I guess we’ll just have to listen to VAMPS and whatnot while they’re on hiatus.
After 3 years they better have an amazing comeback =P

  5. phi-san says:

…they’re gone until I graduate high school? WOW. ._.

  6. Nii says:

    Thank you for this.
    It’s not so long, three little years… x’D;
And like that we’ll have a lot of new stuff with their solo projects ! *optimistic*

  7. Shayan Moazeni says:

I thought they decided to take a break because Tetsu married now!
