BugLug, who was about to kick off an encore tour for their 47-prefecture tour “GAMBLING JAPAN,” had some unexpected and unfortunate news for fans. Vocalist Issei sustained serious injuries from an accident, and as a result, BugLug will be suspending all activities for the near future. Read the band’s official announcement (translated by yours truly) below:
Thank you for your continuous support for BugLug.
On May 7, 2016, our vocalist Issei fell down a flight of stairs and was rushed to emergency surgery.
He has been diagnosed with severe head injuries. As a result, we are canceling our in-store events on 5/14 (Sat) at Nagoya fiveStars and 5/15 (Sun) at Brand X; we are also postponing all performances on our “Re: GAMBLING JAPAN TOUR [-Encore-].”
Postponed dates have not been decided yet, but please save your tickets.
We will also refund tickets for those who wish to. We will announce information regarding refunds at a later date.
We are not accepting refund requests for in-store related purchases. Please give us your understanding.
Issei is still undergoing treatment in the ICU, where only his doctors and direct relatives are allowed to visit. We apologize for the worry this may cause.
We will notify you of more details regarding his condition when we are able to meet with his doctors.
We will also notify you at a later date of our future activity plans after gaining a better understanding of his condition and recovery options.
We apologize for the worry and inconvenience this news may cause, but we ask for your continued support.

Members have also left comments on the official website, but it seems the members are just as in the dark as Resistar Records. We hope that Issei makes a speedy and successful recovery.
