Flashback Friday: BAISER

Today we’re going to start something new (or old, depending on how you look at it). You know how usually we introduce new bands? We’re not going to stop that, but what we are going to do is this:

For the entire month of May, on Fridays, we’ll be doing band introductions for older (and probably disbanded) Visual bands. So for all you old time Visual Kei fans that remember way back when, when Luna Sea, X-Japan, and BUCK-TICK were still trendy with their big hair and you miss those days, we’re doing this for you.

Today I’m doing one band that I used to be in love with, and when I heard them on shuffle my love for them just suddenly came back.

BAISER

Vo. 紫-YUKARI- (ex Endorphine)
Guitar 水月-MIZUKI- (ex Endorphine)
Guitar 零-REI- (ex I’ris, Swallowtail as SIN)
Bass 泰祐-SHAISUKE- (ex Blanche, Penicillin, Swallowtail)
Drums 桂-KATSURA- (ex SHAZNA, Swallowtail, vinett, Cannival Method)

This band started out in 1991 with a completely different line up, however they rearranged themselves (some people left and some people came) until they had the above formation.

They released four singles, three mini-albums, and three full albums while they were still and indie band. They went major in May of 1999 and released 4 more singles and a full album.

I’m not going to go into too much detail because they’re pretty popular and since they’re old there are a lot of websites that have information (and downloads) about them, but here’s a PV so you can get a taste for what they sound like.

If you have any requests for next Flashback Friday let us know~!
