Mitsuru leaves SuG

Mitsuru, the drummer of SuG, has decided to leave the band. They say it’s a result of several discussions and the reason is differences in musical opinions.
Their last live with Mitsuru will be their oneman on May 9th. They ask everyone to support both SuG and Mitsuru on their different roads.
Here’s Mitsuru’s comment about his leaving translated:
It’s been two and a half years since our formation, and there’s been many kinds of fun things, happy things, heartbreaking things, difficult things, and regrettable things, but I’m truly glad that I could spend time together with everyone.
It was a blessing to be able to be with everyone of SuG.I don’t know how to put this into words now, but… Because I’m going to think about nothing but having fun with all my might at every single live until the 5/9, let’s all smile at the last live at EAST and make it the best live.

I haven’t kept up with SuG in forever but this kinda shocked me!
@Mija: Me too. I’ve never been a huge fan but I do listen to them every once in a while, and I’ve always been a little Mitsuru biased because I love his old band… I’m sad to see him go, but I hope he’s not leaving the scene or anything, and that SuG won’t disband because of this.
Always the drummer who leaves. So boaring.
Anyways I am not really shocked.

I’m not that big of a SuG fan, but even so Mitsuru was my favorite member and I never thought he would leave. I’m still in shock after so many of my favorite bands disbanding and members leaving. Please tell me this will be the last in a long time T_T
Is it weird I’m really not surprised? I don’t know, for some reason Mitsuru (whilst I was never a huge SuG fan, he was my favourite easily) never seemed to be the right sort of guy for SuG, he seemed more mature and not really fitting to the happy go lucky image. He always seemed to be the sort of guy who I could see in another, slightly harder sounding band really enjoying himself.
Who knows, I don’t think this is the last we’ll see of him.
His little drumset in the 39GalaxyZ PV is a joke compared to butterfly BoY, sure, but no reason to leave!! *kidding*
and now serious… WHY?! oh no ;( I wish him all the best, I really loved him. I never thought SuG would lose a member. O_o (I knew they already lost their old bass player, but that was right at the beginning of their career though…). oh mitsuru!! ;( goodbye!

Same here.My favourite member after Yuji.I always thought too,that he was too mature for SuG,he never fit in.You can see that on the make of Butterfly boy.

Mitsuru wasn’t my favorite member, but he was still a part of SuG and he helped make it what it is now, so it is a real shame to see him go.
However, I agree with Chezuu. He always appeared awkward and out of place in the PVs.
I wish him luck, and I hope he doesn’t leave the music scene!

Okay, I never listened to SuG but I love Mitsuru’s previous band. I think that he left because he realized that his type of music was more towards Retina’s style.
I’m actually excited to see what band he would be in/make next since other than him, only Hibiki from Serial Number is the only active person that came from Retina.
@Gaxnela: Shiine is kind of half active too, he has a session band that’s been going on for about a year or something, and they have lives in Sendai every once in a while. They’re keeping it really quiet though so that’s why I said only half active, haha. D:
Their older guitarist Miyu, the one who was in the band before hiyro, talked about forming a band at the end of last year and beginning of this year, but I don’t know if anything ever came out of that because he hasn’t updated his blog since January.
Anyway, I’m going way off-topic…
It would be awesome if Mitsuru got a band similar to Retina, but it wouldn’t be the same without Shiine’s voice, in my opinion. Either way, I’m still looking forward to what he’s going to do in the future!
