celebrate-six-months-with-us

May 6th will mark six months of activity here on Shattered-Tranquility! We’re nearing 1000 posts, have nearly 2000 comments and are getting new visitors every day! It’s a really exciting time for the staff and hopefully for our readers as well! I think we can all honestly say we never expected the site to take off the way it has.

So, to mark our 6th month anniversary, we’re having a raffle. The poll last week would determine whether we had it or not, but so many people seemed to want to participate, which makes us really excited to hold it!

What is it and when is it?
A raffle for a gift certificate to CDJapan of at the bare minimum, $30 USD.
That means, you can purchase anything to your liking on CDJapan.
You can buy CDs, DVDs, magazines. You can spend it however you want. Once you win, you get the gift certificate and you’re good to go.
It is valid for one year, so if there’s nothing you want quite yet, you have lots of time.
We are selling tickets from April 15th until April 30th.
The drawing will be held on May 6th.

How do I get tickets?
Fill out the form (below) with your name, e-mail address, the number of tickets you want (they’re 50 cents a piece) and how you will be paying. There is no minimum – if you just want one, just buy one. All fees must be received by May 5th or they will not be counted. When we receive your payment, we will send you your tickets via e-mail.

Why CDJapan?
CDJapan is 100% in English, easy to navigate and very easy to buy from. They ship to over 200 countries around the world and we felt that they would be a fair choice and a service everyone could use. We can also give gift certificates via CDJapan, so it makes it easier for us to give the winner their prize!

Why do we have to pay?
S-T is a non-profit site, meaning we do all this for free. We thought that 50 cents for a chance at $30 or more worth of CDs or DVDs was incredibly fair and easy to fit on anyone’s budget. In the future we will be having completely free contests. Furthermore, all the money put into the contest will be spent on the fans — none of the money goes to S-T or the staff members.

Terms and Conditions
1. You must fill out the form with your real name and an email we can contact you at.
2. Payment must be received before May 5th.
3. No entries will be accepted after April 30th. Entries with payments via PayPal are available as long as they are paid by midnight on May 5th.
4. There is no limit on number of tickets.
5. You must keep your ticket (graphic) to claim your prize.
6. No staff members of Shattered-Tranquility may apply.
7. There is no substitution for the prize.
