When a band that disbanded over 8 years ago makes an announcement, you bet we’re all listening.
PIERROT (1994-2006) is considered by some to be one of the leaders of the 1990’s Visual Kei movement, also known as the 2nd wave of the genre. Their discography is as extensive as it is impressive: Over 10 albums, 20 Singles, and well over a dozen DVDs and VHS lives and performances in 12 years, PIERROT was a dominant force within the industry.
Unfortunately, in 2006 the band parted ways and members went on to create some of the most well-known names in current Visual Kei. Vocalist Kirito joined bassist Kohta and Drummer Takeo in the creation of Angelo, while guitarist Jun formed ALvino with former guitarist of La’cryma Christi, Koji. Perhaps most well-known, guitarist Aiji joined forces with Maya to create LM.C.
While members seemed quite happy with their new projects, the call for PIERROT never quieted. Loyal and dedicated fans have waited for the call…
And today, PIERROT answered.
Not much is known as of this moment, but sources Visunavi and Vsoku have announced the creation of a very interesting OHP, with a very simple announcement.
Shinjuku Alta VISION
What is this mysterious announcement? What exactly will be happening at Shinjuku Alta on 4/12? And how excited should fans be?
Shattered-Tranquility is working hard to be on the scene on 4/12, so you can expect to see news as it comes in! Make sure to mark your calendars and watch closely!
Fans may remember that this isn’t the first time a band has done a publicity stunt such as this. Just this past year SuG backed up Harajuku with a spontaneous live mid-street, and Girugamesh allowed fans to be a reporter for a day, filming and photographing their fanclub-only One-Man at Shibuya WWW.
