As we mentioned here in November, Acid Black Cherry had gone on a break due to the vocalist, yasu’s condition. Their last activities, during which the cyst in yasu’s throat was discovered, was their tour of Japan, ‘Acid Black Cherry 2009 tour “Q.E.D.”’. Their final gig of the tour was held at the Nihon Budoukan on 2nd November 2009, and this was released as a Live DVD.
The DVD is complied of 2 discs; the first is of the gig itself, showing all 18 tracks performed from their latest album ‘Q.E.D.’. The second disc is 40 minutes worth of footage from backstage complied together in a documentary format, reflecting on yasu’s pain yet determination on finishing the tour with the support from his fellow band members and staff. As barks quotes, “Though yasu’s voice wasn’t 100% for this, his performance shines through”.
The DVD set was released on the 24th March, and costs 6,500yen.
