Weekly Discussion Question Round Thirty

Heya, readers! Can you believe we’re at round thirty? This little hamster is gonna celebrate this accomplishment with some running around his wheel! But before then, I got some pressing questions I would like you to answer, folks. I’m wondering what your musical tastes are. I don’t mean which bands you like, but I’m interested in the kind of vocalists you like best. Take, for example, the variety of vocalist styles in our recent digest. How could D be D without Asagi’s suave vocals? Would Blu-BiLLioN still have the same kind of energy without Mike’s vocals? Does PENICILLIN‘s HAKUEI move you with his melodic vocals? What do you think of Codomo Dragon Hayato’s mixture of regular vocals and growling? Which brings me to my main questions!

What kind of vocals do you like in visual kei music? Do you like the cute, boy-next-door kind of vocals that have a higher pitch? Or do you like the exact opposite and prefer smooth vocals in a lower pitch? Maybe you just want to hear screams: death metal growls or high-pitched banshee screams? A mix? Or maybe something entirely different? Which vocal style really gets you?

Please be polite and respectful of others and their opinions. Feel free to comment on this page or via Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr.
