We’ve received many emails regarding if so and so is safe or if _______ band is ok. JpopAsia.com has compiled a list of confirmed bands and members who have updated their twitter, blog etc with info of being safe.
Here’s a list of jrock and visual kei artists that have been reported safe!
If you wonder about someone, don’t be afraid to ask. We must help each other!
This list will be edited as more are reported.If your favourites aren’t listed – that doesn’t mean they aren’t safe. They can be in a situation where they can’t (or don’t want to) update. Most of these people are in Tokyo, and most of the people in Tokyo seem to be fine.

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with all of those affected by this catastrophe, especially everyone Japan who were hit the hardest.
There are many blog entries from bands that state – even if they’re ok, some members haven’t heard from their own families. Including Ni~ya (Nightmare) who hasn’t heard from his mom, Lilly (Velvet Eden), Kaito (Wizard), Takafumi (MoNoLith) and many many more. Lets pray for their families to reunite.

A lot of bands reported safe aren’t listed. This was updated the most during the first days, but the fans aren’t demanding as much updates anymore, because most artists people over there care about have been reported and put into the list. Almost a week has passed now, and it seems not many are “looking” for their artists anymore.
We just can’t keep editing it forever, because there are probably not many bands that were harmed (apart from local bands in the worst tsunami-hit areas). But I can put them into that list for you if you want to.
Oh, I don’t mind actually, since I know they’re safe, it was just weird, since they all posted from day 1 they’re all okay. Just Luu couldn’t find his family, problem solved though, they’re all safe.
mmmmm i’m wondering if Orochi are alright but it’s good to see that so many other artists are safe.

All of Sel’m are safe. The information stating this has been on their site since last Friday.
All ANUBIS, ELM, THE COLD MILK, PIECE members are okay.
Same goes for ex.JIVE’s Kirio, Haru, You and Gou (new band PUBLIC ON WORD, guitarist SHIMAchang is also safe), ex.Jewel’s JIN, RUI (SCREW) and Kohaku, ex.FeaDior’s Kuro, hisana (ex.DIS★Marionette), yukkey, Satsuki (ex.Jewel Kohaku).
Also Schwein’s Yairi (who isn’t listed by now) posted several entries, so he’s seemingly fine, too.

Im glad to hear that the bands are safe but i feel bad for those that have unfortunantly not heard from there own families or friends. We should pray and hope for them that they do.
