A 15th anniversary of their major debut and release of their new single “Joumyaku” — Plastic Tree. A few days ago it was reported that drummer Satou Kenken had to undergo emergency hospitalization for acute hepatitis, and now it’s been officially announced that he will not be performing in their Spring Tour starting from 3/15, “Ao no Unmeisen.”
Below is the announcement from the OHP.

■ Notice about performances on the Spring Tour ■
In regards to the Spring Tour, “Ao no Unmeisen,” as previously announced, drummer Satou Kenken has had to undergo emergency hospitalization for acute hepatitis. The results of his examinations were that he needs to get some rest and remain hospitalized for 2 weeks to avoid anything further from developing. Kenken really wants to return quickly, but he’s decided to follow the results of his diagnosis and take a break, meaning the postponement of any upcoming live performances for him.
However, we knew how many fans had been looking forward to the tour, so after meeting together, we’ve decided to have a friend of Plastic Tree come in and join the tour as a support drummer, and continue the tour as planned. To everyone who was looking to buy tickets for this tour, and to all the fans looking forward to the upcoming performances, we really apologize for all of the trouble and worry we’ve caused you.
We also have a message from the members of Plastic Tree.
＜From the members＞
At this time, we deeply apologize for all of the worry we’ve caused you with Satou Kenken’s admittance to the hospital. We apologize from the bottom of our hearts.
We’re bringing in a support drummer for our tour “Ao no Unmeisen,” and performing the tour as planned before. Plastic Tree has only ever existed as the four of us, Satou Kenken included, so we racked our brains in worry, trying making this decision. However, rather than feeling locked up and hopeless by what’s happened, we decided that this would be the best plan to move forward for Plastic Tree and for Kenken to be able to get better and come back healthy.
To all the fans, and to Plastic Tree, Satou Kenken’s absence makes us feel really lonely more than anything else, so we’ll take his heart together with us wherever we go.
We really hope that at each livehouse on this tour, that inside the sound you feel the presence of all 4 of us.
Under the tree that does not wither.
We’re hoping we can meet all of you.
