Emu. to Go On Indefinite Hiatus

emu.

It seems we just keep having to break the Visual scene’s heart.

Despite our interests in keeping the news flowing, one cannot help but be a bit saddened by the indefinite hiatuses and disbandments occurring. To be quite honest, it would be more fun and upbeat to only have introductions and new music, special lives and goodies. However, because this is music, it doesn’t always work out.

So, it brings great sadness to inform fans that after their live at Shibuya REX on March 29th, Emu. will go on indefinite hiatus.

Emu. was a relatively new band to the scene, forming in the summer of 2013. Despite this, Emu. released their first promising single, “Faith”, in October. However, it seems that not even a promising single could stop the unfortunate split in musical directions.

Shattered-Tranquility’s Sabra has graciously translated the announcement, along with the personal message of Emu’s Guitarist, Takuma.

An important announcement from Emu.

This is a message to all of our fans who have regularly supported us, and to all our supporting staff members.

We would like to announce that following the live on March 29, 2014 Emu. will go on hiatus.

We deeply apologize to all of our supporting fans and staff members for making such a sudden announcement.
Recently we’ve felt that the direction our music has been taking was different than our original goals, and so after much discussion we have decided to go on hiatus.

In the little time we have left、we will be working diligently together with our staff to show all of you how grateful we are for everything. So we ask for your unwavering support until the end.

Best regards.

Emu.

I’m really sorry for the sudden announcement.
We decided to do this because of how serious we are about our music, and we didn’t want to become lazy about it.
Though we’re constantly revising our music, this time we didn’t want you to worry that it’s become sort of strange, but I feel really awful that we had to burden all of our lovely fans with this hiatus.

So sorry.

I think it really sucks that something like this had to happen so soon after we started, and I’m sad to be separated from all of your support.
But time doesn’t wait around for anyone…
I know we only have a short time left, but lets make the best of it.

Also, there are no set plans for Emu. to start up activity again after this.
This means that my chances of standing on stage from here on might be few and far between.

I know that after 3.29 you won’t be seeing that much of us and might be sad about it, but please don’t forget about us, okay?
I want us to enjoy the few remaining lives as much as we can.

PS. I don’t plan on giving up on music.
Because music is my passion.

Unfortunately, there are only two further lives before Emu. goes on hiatus, so fans should make sure to say their farewells before their final live on March 29th. The information for these last two lives are below.
