Since the GazettE announced plans for a Spring 2018 album release last year, fans have been eagerly awaiting more information. On March 10–the anniversary of the band’s formation–they finally gave us all the deets.
On June 13, the GazettE will release their full album “NINTH.” This marks their first brand new album release in almost three years since the release of “DOGMA” in August 2015. “NINTH” will include 12 tracks and come in four types.
The Limited Edition Box A (13,000 yen) comes with a CD; a Blu-ray disc with PV footage and live footage from their anniversary show on March 10, 2017; a metallic case; and a lyrics booklet. The Limited Edition Box B (12,000 yen) includes the same goodies as Box A, but it includes a DVD instead of a Blu-ray disc. The Regular Limited Edition (4,500 yen) comes with the CD and a DVD with PV footage. The Regular Edition (3,300 yen) just comes with the 12-track CD. Pre-order links for CDJapan are not available yet, but we will update this article as soon as they are available.
In celebration of the release, the band will tour Japan starting in July. It comes to an end in September 4 with a show in Kanagawa, near Tokyo. Check out their official homepage for more details.
the GazettE has already given us a sneak peek of the album with a PV release. “Falling,” one of the tracks on the new album, was mixed by Josh Wilbur, who has worked with artists such as Korn, Megadeth, and Lamb of God. The track features the Gazette’s classic heavy sound while also mixing in some new electronic sounds, while the PV features the band’s contemporary and fashionable visuals. You can watch the PV in an embed on their homepage.
Those are all the details we have for now. We’ll update you later with more information on track titles, where to buy it, and any extra nuggets of news that come out.
Fun fact: the GazettE has been updating their homepage in both Japanese and English lately, so if there are any details in here that you want to confirm officially, check out their website!
