Calmando Qual’s new single

After a very long break in releasing new music, Calmando Qual will release a brand-new maxi-single entitled 「Doors」. It will go on sale on the 26th of May for 1500 yen and contain 4 tracks:
01. GHOST HOUSE
02. Shadow
03. Velvet
04. Chandelir
It will be limited to 1000 copies only so make sure to buy it and support the band! The CD will be pre-sold at the band’s live on the 13th of May. Anyway, here is the single description according to the official MySpace:
Calmando Qual’s first maxi single since resuming activities portrays a rock show with “Theatrical Rock Parade” as its concept. The work is an exquisite balance of vivid visuals, melancholic melodies shifting and varying within a dark retro ambiance, and the cruelty and beauty of the stories illustrated by the lyrics. Though its sound is more catchy and easy on the ears than their previous works, it retains the intersection of stillness and movement in the band’s technical sound and their characteristic powerful arrangements, with each song composed of many varying facets.
It sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? Anyway, here is their recent look, which is totally different from their previous ones. What do you think about it?

I like new look ! It’s strange, but beautiful.
And i wanna the new single, produced by Starwave Records (Label of Kiwamu).
Beautiful? No, it’s strange but not beautiful. Hibiki looks like he’s going to eat someone, Tak’s hair is bed hair over 9000, Kenka looks like somebody’s grandpa and Maya, the only “normal” looking one, is the one that looks out of place. Not beautiful dude.
And damn, Valerie, chill out.

I like it. It’s not as good as it could be (the guy on the left needs a change, for sure) but the rest of them look great. It’s nice to see some artists willing to take risks in visual kei, instead of relying on old stand buys like suits and short-shorts.

you got dark labirint and starwave records.. CQ actually doesn’t fit in both.
I don’t know but the guys just did choose starwave the VK lable.. but that doesn’t mean that they go all the way to VK.

Calmando Qual is not visual kei band, but gothic band, inspired by hard rock 80′s and gothic industrial, and burlesque/grotesque (like Marilyn Manson or Deathstars).
They don’t like visual kei. Strange is naturel for them.
They won’t change to VK. they only did get on a VK lable but that doesn’t mean that they go straight to VK.
and if you look to that photo.. you can’t say that’s VK ^^;;
Yap, it’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style… great. Not the boring ‘vk’ look like nowadays…
