Just days after the band announced the departure of guitarist Yu-chi-, another exciting piece of news from The 3rd Birthday has come to light.

On April 23rd, The 3rd Birthday will officially move band activities to Tokyo, starting with their show at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3. Read the official announcement below to get all the details (translated by yours truly):

Thank you for your continuous support for The 3rd Birthday.
We announced this at our show “Knife Edge Death Match”
on February 13th at ell. FITS ALL Avelcain vs. The 3rd Birthday,
and now we are announcing it officially.
At our 4/23 “I am…” commemorative tour final
at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3, we will move our band activities to Tokyo.
This is the result of many repeated discussions among members.
L said this at the live, but
this decision was made in order to spend even one day longer with fans of The 3rd Birthday.
We are still in the middle of discussing the details.
We will let you know when we can announce something.
Both members and staff are working together
in order to make The 3rd Birthday better,
so please continue to give us your unchanging support.

Tickets for the final one-man show are 3000yen advance, 3500yen same day. Other shows on the tour are event lives and have varying ticket prices, so make sure you check out their OHP to get all the details.

Thanks to a tip from reader Molodie, we have also learned that Yu-chi- opened Nagoya’s first authentic visual kei bar, “VULGAR.” This information coupled with the latest announcement may explain why Yu-chi- couldn’t continue on with the band.     wanted to let ya know that Yu-chi is the guitarist, not bassist. Minor error (almost freaked out because i thought the band was losing Tomoya haha)
