X JAPAN was set to rock London’s Wembley Arena next month–not to mention the release of their new album on March 11th–but unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer.
Guitarist PATA was recently sent to the ICU with a diagnosis of diverticulitis of the colon and portal vein thrombosis. The combination of the two serious illnesses–one of which caused a serious blood clot–has the guitarist stabilized but out of musical condition for the time being. You can read more about it in X JAPAN’s official announcement (available in English!) here.
The Wembley Arena show has been postponed officially until March 4th, 2017. All tickets purchased for the original show will be honored at the newly-scheduled one.
As for the new album, that has also been postponed. No release date has been set yet.
Let’s hope PATA is back in shredding condition soon enough, and that no other misfortunes befall the band!
