Respect for Sads

kiyoharuThe early 2000’s wasn’t exactly the hottest time for the visual kei scene. Many iconic visual kei bands that emerged from the 90’s were beginning to disband. Unfortunately this was the case for Sads, formed by Kuroyume vocalist Kiyoharu, who announced that after a few short lived years of success will be disbanding in 2003.

However, fans of the early visual kei scene rejoiced when Kiyoharu announced that in 2010 Kuroyume and Sads will be making a comeback and although Sads wasn’t quite the same without the original member, they still managed  to successfully pull out a full album. Sads released three works in 2010 and since then there hasn’t been much activity from the band, but Kiyoharu said it was a work in progress.

Ah, the early visual kei days is a sentimental topic. But what better, romantic way to celebrate the sentiments with some remembrance…through music!

Well, enough of the sentiment and onto the news! It’s been announced that a Sads “respect album” will be released by Geishun Label next month!

The respect album is titled “M” and features Sads covers done by 10 up and coming visual kei bands. Do take a look at the details!
