An Important Announcement from KISAKI

an-important-announcement-from-kisaki

KISAKI posted an important announcement on the UNDER CODE OHP where he spoke about Phantasmagoria’s revival ending on April 5th and the new band that is coming up this summer, marking his musical return to the scene.

The following is a translation of the announcement that KISAKI posted.

I have an important announcement for everyone.

First, regarding Phantasmagoria’s revival, it’s a limited time come-back that started on December 31st at Tokyo Kinema Club and will end on April 5th at Osaka BIG CAT.

The reason behind it being a limited time event is that Phantasmagoria is very valuable, and there are many aspects that we have to look after.

Therefore, for many different reasons we are unable to continue [with the band], and even though it was lost once, all of the members realized that “being lost like this, we can’t make any sort of big steps forward”.

Now, the second announcement…

After the limited time revival of Phantasmagoria has past, in the summer of 2010, a new band will be formed, and I have decided to restart my band activities.

Everyone probably has many different thoughts about me making a comeback to the scene, however, from here on, I will return to the people that I meet by chance, and those who are once again cheering me on.

I want to put all of my energy into conveying my “reason” and “meaning”.

There’s a road that I once destroyed with my own hands, but because I want to push forward and completely devote myself [to the scene], I will be happy if you can support me with my music.

To those who have shown even just a little love to both the members, and to Phantasmagoria who will be active until April 5th, 2010, please come [and see us].

  1. This is kinda weird, but was expectable from KISAKI, anyway, I think it’s a good news, every band where KISAKI is, it’s awesome.

  2. Finally. This was just a question of time, since he’s been on stage various times (with or without Phantasmagoria).
At least he finally admits he’s going to come back.

  3. Phantasmagoria was called “Final Band” when they started. And I thought it was nice because it was the nicest band I ever listened to. When Kisaki destroyed his own project by himself, I was really mad at him. Now, I just can’t be really happy about his comeback on stage with another band.
But I expect Riku joining the band, as Chariots is now formed by one member and that his muse is Kisaki.

    • Riku is *actually* Kisaki’s gay lover, who convinced him to keep playing the same 14 songs live. What the fuck guys, come on. I don’t think Kisaki’s “new band” is going to be any different than Syndrome, or Mago. Don’t get me wrong, I love the man, and I love what he does; But he needs to put the nail in the coffin, and just stop playing up the “Nittle Grasper” card (That’s the best way I could even THINK of expressing this fuckery).

      • you love what he does? ore once did?
would fit better cause in the last couple of years he sold his band out, made fun of hisself and mago and only in japan with some redicioulus semi-serious statements people get away with it.

        its hiliriaous

      • To both EZRA and SHITMAN, I’m sur Phantasmagoria is not your favorite band. And I know and understand the facts about Kisaki. He’s a fucking asshole. I’m just asking you for some respect toward me because Phantasmagoria is *ACTUALLY* my favorite band and this new just destroyed all the chance for a come back from my favorite band.

    • I agree with you Aozora. When it debuted, it was called “Phantasmagoria KISAKI FINAL BAND.” The subtitle disappeared after time, but it was still supposed to be his final band… This one was supposed to last a long time, instead of the usual two or three years that his bands last.

His announcement really surprised me. 1) Phantasmagoria is releasing CDs and performing lives again; 2) chariots lost members and could easily break up in March or April; 3) spiv states only has releases and shows planned through April, so they could easily break up after that; 4) KISAKI’s probation will end this year, so he could travel the world again. For all of those reasons, it seemed certain that April or May would bring an announcement of a full Phantasmagoria revival. And I expected that, as KISAKI’s final band.

But then he announces a new band… I don’t understand it! As an UNDER CODE fan, I’m completely happy and will support the new band, because I’m sure it will be good. But as a Phantasmagoria fan, I’m confused and surprised. So I understand completely how you feel, and I agree with you.

Finally, I have to say that I hope Riku isn’t the vocalist as everyone is speculating. To me, Phantasmagoria is something special that should be sealed up and left alone. If Riku continues in KISAKI’s band, it will diminish Phantasmagoria.

      • I TOTALLY GET YOUR POINT ABOUT RIKU BEING THE VOCALIST ;____; It would like a wanna be Phantasmagoria! And I don’t want the original band to be half brought back by a band with only the bassist and the singer.
But I can’t stand Riku staying in chariots in a way… this band is a joke… and since it’s disbanding, it will be the best occasion for Riku to have another BETTER band…

But I still don’t want him to join the band. I don’t want to hear of this band…
        Not until it releases something…
I’m totally pissed off about it now…

  4. I knew he would come back this year…
this year his penalty is due, he can leave Japan again, he is free of the restrictions…

  5. This is not surprising. So, we get another band that might last just long enough to get attached to before he has another bout of retirement. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

  6. I figure he wouldn’t stay in the shadows for far too long. Its not even surprising to see him back another band at all. We shall see how long this band last before he decides to disband or start yet another solo project.

  7. …when will this guy just give up and let Phantasmagoria just rest in peace? Seriously, its ridiculous. He should either just back off or die.

  8. Like others have expressed, I think Riku should not be in this new band. I’m not sure about the new band KISAKI will be in but I won’t judge it until I hear the music.

What TRULY worries me is that depending on the schedule this new band might have it might bring problems to Under Code. Back when it was Mago he only produced Mago, Vidoll, 12012 and a few other bands but now it seems like he has his hands full all the time!

I truly hope this doesn’t effect UCP and if it doesn’t being a KISAKI fan, admirer and “follower” if i may say, i will support him.

    GO KII-SAMA!! \o/

  9. He destroyed all my dreams about phantasmagoria reunion
Don’t wanna band with just Riku and Kisaki.
If this band isn’t going to work… Kisaki, you idiot =.=

  10. omg. seriously, WHATS WRONG WITH KISAKI? why are u all hating him so much?!
im only a fan of him for a few months, but still, i’ve read alot about him, all those past articles and the recent Cure magazine with him on the cover, vol81,

    why is he an asshole?
i know, Japanese think that its rude to show their true feelings towards another individual when its offensive, and Kisaki does that all the time, despite Japanese people always kept negative comments to themselves. so, dont you think Kisaki is better in terms of character?

i know he evaded tax, back in 2006, but if it was you, you’re in charge of this label, u see such large amount of money, and you could have kept it all to yourself without anyone knowing it, wont u do it?
some people with strong integrity won’t, but still, Humans have greed, Kisaki is also a human. although he calls himself god..

im seriously fine with any band Kisaki-sama have been in, i loved syndrome. and missed the old Asagi, [the year 2001 Asagi?] im not saying Asagi is old. -_- . Although hes 36 now but, hell man, whatever.

    • “i know he evaded tax, back in 2006, but if it was you, you’re in charge of this label, u see such large amount of money, and you could have kept it all to yourself without anyone knowing it, wont u do it?”

You’re kidding me with this, right?

btw We have LiveJournal for rants like these.

      • ok, im not kidding, Kisaki did. it was reported in the news back in 06′ , you could google it.

oh. by the way, i only use LJ for Fanfics. ;X
