On January 18th, jealkb updated their site with the following announcement regarding both chaos and mofto leaving the band in April.
Thank you for continuing to support jealkb.
We have some information for everyone.At this time, it has been decided that the jealkb members, who everyone has always cheered on, chaos and mofto, will be leaving the band after the final show on our jealkb LIVE HOUSE TOUR 2009 – 2010 “Ibara no Michi” which started back in November.
We first made this announcement in front of our fans during our live on January 18th at Kanagawa Sun Phoenix Hall.
The tour will continue until April. The seven members will continue on until the end of the tour with all their power, so as you have been all this time, please continue to support us.
jealkb will continue on afterwards with five members.
Only jealkb can be jealkb, and because make our own unique style of music, always aim to put on performances that our fans can enjoy, and day after day continue to put forth a great amount of effort, we will be blessed if you can continue to warmly watch over us.
Please continue to show us your support.Furthermore, our leaving members, chaos (Kanenari Kiminobu, formerly of Hello, Byebye) and mofto (Kikuchi Kenichi) will be making a new combination, and they will work hard to press on into the comedy scene.
Please support them.
They have decided that the name for their combination will be 「ギンナナ」 (Ginn Nana).jealkb will release a new single, 「make magic」 on January 20th. We will also be releasing a our first photo collection, 「narcists」 on January 22nd.
To all those who have been supporting us, we would have liked to tell you each one by one first hand, however, we are sorry for having to make this sort of announcement.
Please continue to cheer on jealkb, who from now on will continue to meet new challenges and evolve.

Haha, if at least it had been the violonist too… then at least the 2 guys who just fake playing their instruments (which are actually not even audible in the band’s music) would be gone. Which would be a small step on the road to being kind of.. credible. But anyways, they would still have waaay too much steps to make on that road.
