The bonus CD included in the limited edition has a few exciting collaborations. X JAPAN‘s vocalist ToshI collaborated with the band on 「雨上がりの優詩」 (Ameagari no Yuushi); Mikami Hiroshi participated in a collaboration for “focus”; “latour” from their first album “IMMORTALIS” features a collaboration with Limp Bizkit‘s Wes Holden; and “elisabeth addict” (also off of “IMMORTALIS”) was remixed by Nine Inch NailsRenholdër. With that kind of roster, it’s hard to find reasons not to purchase the limited edition.

ToshI and Mikami Hiroshi each made some comments on sukekiyo’s OHP. Here’s what they had to say:

ToshI:
“I really enjoyed being able to collaborate with Kyo, who performs on a global scale.
Thank you to everyone in sukekiyo and my old friend Dynamite Tommy for giving me this opportunity.”

Mikami Hiroshi:
“My musical activities until now have all been done in major places, but I’m glad that you’ve listened to me.
As for “focus,” I thought it was a very difficult song when I first heard it. Since I generally only sing melodies that I’ve created, recently I’ve hit some walls in creating melodies for songs that I love and want to cover. Kyo’s high voice and use of falsetto are really different [from my usual style], but I was influenced by it anyways and wanted to try it out. I only make things within my own world, but this time, I was really motivated and I think it further expanded my world. Things become smaller when it’s just you, so I really wanted that kind of stimulus. There were a lot of points where I thought, “Oh, so that’s where the melody goes from here,” because it was so elaborate. However, when I tried to add my vocals today, there were places where I didn’t have the skill to follow the minuteness [of the melody]; but I weathered it through sheer force of will. I hope I was able to finish this collaboration and learn from it. Being allowed to participate was very worthwhile for me.”

Customers who purchase the limited edition get a couple of other bonuses. You can get a present at any one of sukekiyo’s upcoming shows on their tour “The Unified Field” by bringing the “B ticket” enclosed in your copy of the limited edition of “VITIUM”.
