Carpe diem is making it final. On February 27, 2018, Carpe diem will officially disband. On Twitter, the band wouldn’t give a specific reason for their disbandment aside from the decision that members agreed it would be better to go separate ways. They also thank fans for their support; they never thought they would be able to continue on this long, but thanks to love from fans, they were able to get this far.
Carpe diem has been together since Christmas Day 2011. Back in 2015, they went on activity pause, only to start back up again July 2017 with a new drummer. Fans must be disappointed to hear of their disbandment so soon after their revival. The band has an impressive discography, though, so there’s a lot for fans to listen back on.
The final show in February is also their only remaining show, so if you’re in Japan and you want to see them, this is your last chance! Check out details on their OHP (linked below).
