Merry Postpones European Tour until 2017

MERRY
Just weeks before the deadly terrorist attack at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, Merry had set out to kick off sales for their European tour, including a stop at la Boule Noire in the same city. Tickets were still on sale in the aftermath, and Merry had previously strived to continue the tour despite the threat, as have many other bands performing across Paris. Though, it now appears that Merry fans will have to wait until 2017 to see this tour come to fruition.

Announced today, their European tour “-purge the world-” has been officially postponed until next year. Their tour organizer, B7, after discussions with the band, cited the reason as the aftermath of the Bataclan attack and feeling that they were not able to give their all at this present time. They plan to return in 2017 with fresher and more concentrated minds, and plan to give fans the best show possible.

For those of you who purchased tickets, they will be reimbursed within the next three weeks from the venue where you purchased them.

To read the full statement, you can find it on B7’s Facebook page, as well as Merry’s homepage.
