More on Wizard’s major debut single

Wizard’s major debut single, which is coming out on October 22nd and originally was titled 「キミノセカイ」 (Kimi no Sekai) has changed titles to 「Sadistrip」.
The details are a bit different than originally announced, but it’s been posted now on their OHP so these are the ones to go with! FIrst of all they do mention that this CD will be procued by Chisato and O-JIRO of PENICILLIN.
It’s a four track single containing the songs Sadistrip and Astralshade, plus the instrumental versions of each track.
The first press is 1890 yen and comes with a PV, whereas the regular press is 1260 yen and comes with an interview CD extra.

De-ho-ed

I’m on a de-ho-ed spree! But instead of spamming you with Matenrou Opera even more, today’s de-ho-ed target is one of my favourite vocalists ever, Shiine from Retina. Click on the picture to see Shiine without make-up. Only one picture, but at least it’s a bit larger, I even had to resize it so it wouldn’t be so huge.

At Shikkoku no Symphony, one or two members of each band are interviewed after their live by the hostess of the event. Last year Matenrou Opera performed at Shikkoku no Symphony, and after their live the vocalist Sono was shortly interviewed by the hostess. One of the questions concerned his childhood.
Hostess: “What did you often do when you were a kid?”
Sono: “Bought erotic magazines.”
Only as a kid? …I still do it.
Every day.

Tokami’s new release and 3man

十神 (Tokami) has updated with a little bit of news!
First, is that on August 3rd they released “Crisis of Extermination” which is a three track CD available at lives for 500 yen or via mail order for 1260 yen. The CD is Tokami featuring their current support vocalist, Hiviki from SERO.
The tracklist is as follows:
01: Crisis of Extermination
02: Destract Authority (Bonus Track)
03: Dictator (Bonus Track)
The band has also announced that on August 29th at Urawa Narciss they’ll be having another threeman live! This time their partners in crime will be KaloZoic and D’LORE.

VelBet goes on hiatus

VelBet has announced that after their oneman live on August 13th at Takadanobaba AREA, they will be going on an activity pause.
No reason is given aso their decision, but that may (or may not) be released after their live on the 13th. Hopefully the boys will be back in no time and they do wish that August 13th is just as enjoyable as every other live.

Haku, the bassist for BABYLON, when asked about the makeup of his family says that he lives alone.
Aww, that sounds so sad. The other band members all talked about their grandparents, parents, siblings… but not Haku. In fact, Takuma said that his younger sister’s husband is a fisherman, and they have a child.
So, S-T readers, who makes up your family?
As for me, I’m like Haku. Alone.

Bergerac and Irokui team up!

Bergerac and イロクイ。 (Irokui.) are teaming up for a twoamn event!
The event will take place on September 19th at Meuguro Rock May Kan and features, obviously, both bands. Tickets go on sale through Irokui. on August 13th and through Bergerac on August 12th at their respective lives.

NΦA news

NΦA posted this in his blog yesterday already, but the information is so limited that I couldn’t decide whether to post it or not. But anyway,
Firstly, NΦA has formed a new band called camil’e. He says that the band was formed just because he wants (or they want?) to do lives.
Secondly, he’s soon going to delete his blog and official site, and if you want to keep up with his activities from now on you need to e-mail him directly.
And that’s all, he doesn’t say anything more about the band or his future activities or anything.

If you don’t know who NΦA is, he used to sing in bands called BRAND Φ (brand zero) and AMETHYST, and he also released a solo album called Invisible 1998-2006 in March 2007. Additionally, he has been a support member for BLOOD and +ISOLATION, and he sung backing vocals on BLOOD’s “LA FIN DE LA JOURNEE”.
I find it a bit weird that he doesn’t give any information at all on the band and that he’s going to delete his blog and site.. It’ll definitely make it much harder to follow his activities. I hope the band will become something bigger!

If you look at JIN from HERO’s profile, you’ll notice he says that he’s 185cm tall and 200kg in weight. Which for our American readers, works out to roughly 6′1″ and 441lbs.
Now obviously that’s not the truth and he from time to time likes to change both his height and weight.
He’s a pretty small guy, and if you see him live and shout out 「かわいい～」 (Kawaii or cute) he’ll almost always reply with 「かっこいい！！」 (Kakkoii; good looking, handsome, attractive… not in a cutesy way).

AnCafe new look

Okay, so today I realize “Oh it’s been so long since I’ve gone to go check up on AnCafe”, and behold they finally got new outfits.
They might be old to anyone who goes and checks them daily, but I figured better late than never and that I would mention it because maybe there are fans out there like me who haven’t been keeping up with them due to the current lack of releases while they had been on tour and planning their 5th anniversary events.

Another BLACK SHIP update

Today BLACK SHIP finally updated their PC site as well! Now we have a bigger version of the new group pictures and of course bigger versions of the lovely new profile pictures.

They also updated their live schedule and they have lives planned all the way until October, so check them out if you’re going to Japan in the near future. Their live on October 4th is actually their first event organized by themselves, which is awesome and hopefully another step towards becoming a real band instead of a session band!

Gl!tter vol. 2

In June, V!NYL SYNDICATE released their first edition of Gl!tter.
On September 20th they’ll be releasing volume two for 1575 yen. This edition features Ayabie as the cover artist, has features on Doremidan, a live report for “PARTY’S on PARADE” which took place on June 16th at Takadanobaba AREA and featured Doremidan, Sugar, Amaterase’s Daishi’s solo project, JIVE and Modern Suite. They’ll also have interviews with Sugar, JIVE, Modern Suite, Poitrine, Downer and Awoi.
This edition comes with a DVD that contains the making of the publication as well as comments from the featured bands. It’s A4 in size, all colour and fourty pages.
