Readers, what do you watch in between Nico Nico Nama streams? Ernie’s been bingeing on Netflix and just finished the entire Battlestar Galactica series in, like, two weekends. And now Ernie’s frakkin’ sad that the series is over… But at least we’ve got a good week of VK video to tide Ern over until the next obsession, eh?
Last week was another exciting one: WeZ, An Cafe, SaTaN, Moran, ALIVE* and REIGN, and DuelJewel split the ratings between Nico Nico Nama and JAPAN VISUAL.TV. In addition to Wednesday’s weekly Visualism, we also had a special DUAL CORE SUMMIT starring TRIGGAH‘s TOMOZO and erina, Art Cube‘s Z, GHOSE‘s 汐-shio-, and KISSBULLET‘s Kaie.
This week, we can look forward to SaTaN, An Cafe, Alice Nine, THE GALLO, NIGHTMARE, THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S, and Matenrou Opera* with Lin -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-, all on Nico Nico! Of course, we’ve got another Visualism, this week featuring videos from D=OUT, SCREW, Kra, Grieva, MEJIBRAY, and BORN.

That’s right folks.
It may seem like a while since we have heard from SPELL BOX, but they have kept busy. On July 30th, they will be releasing their first official single, “Better Kiss.” SPELL BOX has actually released many singles in the past, including one just this past April, but most of these singles have been limited to purchase at live venues, or from one specific seller. This single is official and available all over.
“Better Kiss” promises to be somewhat different from the norm. The single will contain three tracks, and be a perfect match style-wise for it’s summer release date.
How many bands do you see lately with official mascot characters? Not many? Well, let us introduce you to Lylow, a band that made its official debut this spring. Read more

We finally have all the details on AUBE‘s last single coming out on July 23rd!
Last month, we announced that not only would AUBE disband on August 15th, but also that they wouldn’t leave fans empty-handed. They planned to release an unnamed single on July 23rd, but they have revealed that the title of the last single will be “P.S.”. It comes in just one type for 1296yen. You can pre-order it on CDJapan if you haven’t already.

2. Dear (Sunset Beach Ver.)
Though we’ll have to say goodbye to AUBE in just under a month, you’ll have plenty of chances to see them either at an in-store event or at a concert. Refer to our previous post for more information, and let us know if you’re going!
In May, Paranoid≠circuS‘s drummer Yusura left under vague and suspicious circumstances after a private incident unrelated to the band. Immediately after, the ghoulish group invited drummer Kizuna as a support member.
Now, Kizuna has upgraded his rank from support to official member, becoming the “Buffalo” to replace Yusura’s “Lamm.”
Unfortunate news today–Drastic Will has announced via their official website that they will be disbanding this September.
A couple months ago, right after L’Arc-en-Ciel’s two-day concert at the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, we informed you of the announcement of a new single. Now, as the release date of August 13th is right around the corner, all of the details have been revealed.
As L’Arc-en-Ciel’s first single since “Chase” in late 2011, “Everlasting” is a very exciting release for fans who have been looking forward to some new music. It was first debuted and officially announced at the two National Olympic Stadium shows, where the band performed it both nights.

Most of our readers have probably taken notice of UnRealistic by now, an Osaka-based band who we had the opportunity to interview shortly following their official debut in April. Less than three months later, fans are already getting a new single from the band – their very first single! Read more

Thanks to reader xHime for tipping us off to this news! Royz recently parted ways with guitarist Kazuki in what seemed to be a heartbreaking decision. But not too long after, at the precipice of their summer oneman tour CRISIS CORE, Royz already announced they had found a new guitarist – guitarist Kuina‘s former bandmate, Rey.
Misaruka has been up to a lot this year, between the release of their new mini-album earlier this month and their currently ongoing tour, but they have more in store for fans.
On November 12th, this Starwave Records band will hold a one-man event at the acclaimed Shibuya O-WEST, titled “[The Butterfly Effect] ~In Romeo and Juliet~”. This kind of Shakespearean theme fits Misaruka’s new European-esque look perfectly. As if the name wasn’t enough, the band is also selling tickets by the pair; you can snag two tickets ahead of time for a measly 1500yen, and they’ll only be 2000yen the day of. The band has uploaded a special video comment, so if you want to brush up on your Japanese skills, take a listen:
