MaitoreiA loses ZEN

MaitoreiA announced that their bassist ZEN has decided to leave the band after their third oneman, 「Promise to the venus. @ HOLIDAY SHINJUKU」, on September 18th.
ZEN’s reason for leaving the band is that his mother has gotten into an unexpected accident. She is currently in critical condition, and they cannot anticipate the outcome of her injuries at this time. Therefore, as things are now, it is too difficult for ZEN to continue on with his band activities.
ZEN apologizes from the bottom of his heart for the way things have taken place. He says that his grandmother and mother live together, and with his mother currently being hospitalized, his grandmother is left alone, and as there are no other relatives close by, he feels there is nothing anyone except him can do. He feels that your family is your pillar, and as a man, above everything else, he feels that his mission is to do whatever he can to support them.
He thanks all the fans who have been supporting him, as well as the members. The band asks that fans continue to warmly support them as they have been doing thus far.

Friday’s new bands

We’re getting close to the end of this “new bands introductions week”, with only three days remaining, I hope you all enjoy having new bands to keep your eyes on !
Today’s bands are :
Carnid
Vo. Yuki (up left)
Gu. Asato (down left)
Ba. Aru (up right)
Dr. Syu (down right)
Carnid is actually not a brand new band ! They formed two years ago already, back in May 2007 ! But as they’ve remained quite unknown so far, I thought it could be nice to put them in the spotlight. One of the reason that could explain we don’t hear much from them is the fact that they must be one the only VK bands from Himeji, in which they’ve performed for more than a year before going to Osaka. They’ve hold their first live on January 2008 and have spent the whole year performing in their city at the rate of a live every month.
But the band has recently decided to move to Osaka for most of their lives. As a result the band gets to perform more often with other young bands like クロ×ヒメ (Kuro Hime), Marie, Envus, or even Marrow Haze that I introduced yesterday.
So far, the band has released a single entitled 「First Cause」 in July 2008. You can hear samples of two songs on their OHP (in the Discography part), so you should check it out, I think they’re pretty good !

Here is a brand new band ! … and we don’t really have any details to write a proper introduction. But we’ll keep you updated when those are available !
So far, I just know that the band formed last month, and I don’t even know where ? I’d say Tokyo but it’s just a hunch ! Anyway, the band hasn’t started their official activities as of yet, and they will have two secret lives on August 4th and 13th before starting their real activities ! If you want to go see them for those lives, you’ll have to send them a mail (info@the-darling.net) and they’ll give you the details you need (place, time etc…).

New drummer for Plastic Tree !

Dlocy first maxi and sponsored event

Dlocy will be releasing their first maxi single on October 1st for 1470 yen!
The single will be called 『秘密のお茶会とアリスのおもちゃ箱』 (Himitsu no Ochakai to Alice no Omocha Hako; The Secret Tea Party and Alice’s Toybox) and contains three tracks:
1.不思議の国の扉 (Fushigi no Kuni no Tobira; The to the Mysterious World)
2.白うさぎとアリスの鬼ごっこ (Shiro Usagi to Alice no Onigokko; The White Rabbit and Alice’s Game of Tag)
3.逆さ鏡と黒涙 (Chikasa Kagami to Kuronamida; The Reverse Mirror and Black Tears)
I love the titles of everything.
Along with the release, they’ll sponsoring their first event! The event is on October 10th at HOLIDAY OSAKA and titled 『はちゃめちゃ☆パラレル舞踏会 Vol.1』 (Hachamecha☆Parallel Butoukai; Nonesense☆The Parallel Ball). Further details are not yet available.

Interesting photobooks from D

As of June 30th until September 30th, D will be taking orders for their newest photo book!
It’s actually a pretty interesting idea; they’re having fans create their own photobooks — which means you get the choose the photos!
This particular photobook is the D TOUR2009 “Genetic World” ～PhotoBook Vol.1～, which will contain live photos from their performance on April 11th at Sun Pheonix Hall.
There are two sizes available:
A3 for 4200 yen, and 28 photos (from a selection of 100)
A4 for 3200 yen, and 32 photos (from a selection of 100)
Your name can also be printed on an particular photo, making the book 100% your own! To check out the photos that are available and to create your own mock up version, you can visit http://www.god4u.jp/d2009/.
You thought that was it? It’s not. THERE’S MORE.
Those who purchase the A3 version are able to entry a lottery and eligible to win a “Secret Collection”, which contains photos from backstage and rehearsals.
Ten people who buy the A4 version have a chance to win signed photos of all the members.
On August 7th, the band will be releasing the D TOUR2009 “Genetic World”～Photo Book vol.2～, which will have photos from their live on June 21st at Shinagawa Stellarball. They’ll be releasing six versions; one for each member, and a collective “D” version as well.

New conceptual mini-album for Ensoku

えんそく (Ensoku) has announced the release of their second conceptual mini-album which will be titled 「東京行き」 (Tokyoiki) and limited to mail order purchases only.
The mini-album will cost 2500 yen, and contain six tracks including:
「the smoking sad tune」 [Originally distributed at their Sendai oneman]
「ハイウェイ・スター・ラブ」 (Highway Star Love) [Originally distributed at their Nagoya oneman]
「東京駅着、逢魔刻。」 (Tokyoekichaku, Oumadoki) [Originally distributed at their Tokyo oneman]
The album will be up for release on the 25th of the month.
The band will also be having a oneman live on September 20th at Kouenji Club Mission’s, called 『Ｉ・the原点(Restarting & Turning)～高円寺より「アイ」を込めて～』 (I・the Genten (Restarting & Turning)～Kouenji yori 「Ai」 wo Komete～). The show will cost 2000 yen to attend, and tickets go on sale starting July 19th. That day they will have an important announcement.

Modern Suite disbands

After three years of activity, モダン組曲 (Modern Suite) disbanded on July 1st.
The members explain that although they had various feelings about it, and felt that they wanted to continue, they could not reach a conclusion to how they wanted to proceed with the band. Therefore, they felt the best option was to break up.
They apologize for the lateness of the announcement, and hope that the fans can understand their decision. They thank all their “Babys” (fans) for their support.

Marrow Haze is another young band hailing from Osaka. Even if it’s written on their OHP that it’s opened for more than a year, I think they just made a mistake between the 2008 and 2009 because they seems to have formed only back in January ! Since then, they’ve been performing in the Kansai area (Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe), and lately, they’ve been taking part in some interesting events, like they will on July 15th for example at Kyoto ARC DEUX along with bands such as : WHITEBLACK, n’Dool, R指定 (R-Shitei), GRiST, or LiCKER…
The band also have a Myspace on which you listen to their first song entitled 「Blooming Out of Season」! The recording quality isn’t the best, but they sound rather good to me, so you should keep an eye on them ! And actually, this song is just one song out of the three tracks there are on their first distributed single, that they’ve been giving out since April (100 copies).

Once again, this is a fairly young band from Osaka ! The band officially formed in November 2008, and they’ve started live activities in the beginning of 2009.
An interesting point is that the band itself has written that they formed to create a music that could not be defined by words or that we could not affiliate with any kind of music we already know. As for their live, they want to show what the word “darness” means to them. All this may seem pretty common, but it’s always nice to see and understand what’s the band’s goal is !
Other than that, Shade will also have its first release this summer ! And it’s quite a big surprise for a such a young and small band but… they will start with an album ! The details are still unknown but it seems they’re working hard on it, the even took a month off of live activities in that purpose ! I’m really excited about this first release !

Tragus. news and introduction

Tragus. has announced that at their live on July 10th at HOLIDAY NAGOYA, their bassist 蓮架-Renka- will be leaving the band.
Renka’s reason for leaving is because he feels that his path in life, and the path for him being Renka of Tragus. are two roads that are not compatible. He apologizes to the fans and thanks everyone for their support, saying that Tragus. will continue to push forward, and even though he’s no longer in the band, he supports them from the bottom of his heart.
Tragus. isn’t a band we’ve introduced here on Shattered-Tranquility, so there’s no time like the present! This band about a year ago, on July 26th, 2008. Being based out of Nagoya, nearly all of their lives have been local.
They are currently (until July 10th) a four member band:
Vocals - 響 (Hibiki)
Guitar - 咲夜 (Sakuya)
Guitar - 庵 (Iori)
Bass - 蓮架 (Renka)
Each of the members have a blog on Ameba, so click their names above to check them out.
So far, Tragus. has released two free singles, one free mini-album, and a demonstration single which was 300 yen. You can check out their music on their OHP, and a few of the songs have links to samples. The samples, however, don’t work on my computer so I’m not sure if it’s just me, or if they’re not working at all.

THE KIDDIE’s song an ending theme

For the month of July, THE KIDDIE’s song 「elite STAR+」, will be used as the ending theme for the CBC radio show, 「さゆぱら」 (Sayupara).
The show airs every week from Monday thru Friday, from 9:00pm for one hour.

1st live DVD for 9GOATS BLACK OUT !

9GOATS BLACK OUT will release their first live DVD this summer ! This has been shot during their first one-man on April 11th at Shibuya BOXX. 「Bright Garden」 will contain 13 songs plus some offshots and the PV for 「sink」. All in all, the DVD will last 75 minutes and the band has already posted a commercial to promote this release on their Youtube account. I can’t wait to see the full version !
Oh but, I almost forgot to point an important fact… this DVD will be sold only at their lives.

I am going to miss this band. Hiroki of Since 1889 has posted an english comment about disbanding.
Thanks for the messages from friends&fans all over the world.It’s our first time in life to have messages from overseas,and I’m very impressed.
About the disband,we’ve had a lot of discussion until this decision.We all love music,and no one wants to quit it.
We want to see you soon,even in a different way–and that time,I hope we can play our music overseas too.We still want to make people happier with our music,and we believe we can do it.
