Rito is no more! According to their website and his new Ameblo, Rito’s name has changed to 零 (Zero). So, don’t fear–you can still follow your favorite guitarist at his new Ameblo. Note that his twitter has not changed.
So, what do you guys think? Are you excited about all this news for Lycaon? And is anyone planning on grabbing a copy of the mini-album or attending the One Man? If so, leave your opinions in the comments below!

VAMPS’ USA Representive’s Message to Downloaders
22
May, 2013
![]()

Hot on the heels of the announcement of VAMPS’ new single, “AHEAD/REPLAY,” a message from J, VAMPS’ USA representative, has gone up on Facebook. It caught our attention because of its candidness, rather than it being a stiff, formal finger-wagging from record company executives as is common to see.
VAMPS, “AHEAD”, is out on Japanese iTunes! Since it is not yet May 22nd on other parts of the world though, you have to wait a bit longer.
-start serious message-
On that note, I must mention that it makes me sad to see people sharing the song illegally. We can see who you are, what country you’re from, and how you seem so proud of your actions. So many fans understand that if they buy the music, the number of international sales increases, and then it is easier for the band to travel overseas and do concerts in your area. A few people don’t seem to understand or care about that relationship though, and it is just unfortunate for everyone involved. We’re talking about a song that costs less than the price of a cup of coffee, but that you will own forever (unlike coffee I hope). Please consider this before writing, “Come to Chile”, or “Come to France”, or “Come to (your country here)”, on my comments if you’ve been sharing the song, downloaded the song illegally, or got it without paying.
For those of you paid, or are waiting to pay… I salute you. You make my job of helping to get VAMPS music out to the world easier. Thank you.
-end serious message-
“AHEAD”… VAMPS-tastic!
You can see the original post here.
The topic of illegal downloading comes up quite often in the VK scene for good reasons, and you’ve probably all talked and read about it before, but what are your thoughts? We welcome you to use Shattered-Tranquility as a forum for a civil discussion, and for readers to contribute to the discussion over on J’s Facebook page.

X JAPAN Aims for 2014 World Tour
20
May, 2013
![]()
Natalie.mu has some very, very exciting news for us today!

Today, members of X JAPAN attended the grand opening of Madame Tussauds in Tokyo. Madame Tussauds is a famous doll-making company that specializes in making life-size figures of celebrities.
All members (PATA, HEATH, Yoshiki, Toshi, and SUGIZO) are pictured above with their life-size figures.
At this rare and long-awaited press conference, the members discussed their activities and plans for the future. In addition to their solo activities, each member has been working on material for X JAPAN.
When asked specifically about upcoming activities, Yoshiki was quoted as saying, “It will probably happen sometime next year, but we’re planning our second full-scale world tour. We’ve been having a lot of meetings about it.”
The members were then asked which countries they most wanted to visit. Vocalist Toshi answered, “I want to try going to Indonesia.” SUGIZO’s response was, “I want to visit Islamic countries.” “I want to go where we went before. I also want to go someplace cold and someplace hot, haha,” bassist HEATH said. PATA, on the other hand, only left us with, “I’ll leave it up to someone else!”
After the opening ceremony, a short question-and-answer session took place. Yoshiki said, “We really want to participate in festivals in addition to our world tour, but our shows are really tough on us both mentally and physically.”
He also explained, while laughing, “Since we toured last time without even an album, we were thinking of bringing like business cards along with us. We’ve really wanted to release an album since the band got back together, haha. We should have released an album before releasing our dolls!”
So, there you have it, X fans! It looks like 2014 will have a lot in store for you!

Kaya and Moon Stream to attend Anime Expo
20
May, 2013
![]()
Rumors were circulating throughout April following an information leak via the band CELL, over who would be attending Anime Expo –Overnight, that speculation was overshadowed upon the revelation of just who would be attending. It’s been announced that both Kaya and Moon Stream will be performing as Guests of Honor!

Pre-registration for the convention has been going on since the beginning of the year, and various packages are available. For a four day pass, it’ll cost you $65, and a two day ticket will run $55. One-day and exhibit hall only passes will become available on June first. Also on that date, the prices for tickets will increase, so pre-register now! An additional ticket may be required to attend the concert, so we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
After not having a major rock guest last year, this will certainly make up for it! Are any of our readers planning on attending the convention? Before you let us know, check out Kaya’s comment video for the convention!
As a final note, we are still under the definite impression that CELL will be in attendance at the convention, though not confirmed by the convention staff as of yet. But the band are making sure that fans are aware that they will be attending, even printing it out on their most recent flyers! In any case, this will be their first overseas appearance together. Are you looking forward to seeing them as well?

Toki Leaves Aqua Drop for Tokyo
20
May, 2013
![]()

Osaka visual band Aqua Drop has recently announced the departure of their bassist, Toki. It isn’t often that we hear the actual reasons for band members taking off, and when we do they aren’t always good. However, it sounds like Toki is going to be moving to Tokyo, either to look for work or start a new career. He plans to continue in the music industry as well, so it’s all good news!
The official statements from the band’s OHP are below, translated by yours truly.
Announcing Toki’s departure
It’s a sudden announcement, but it has been decided that Aqua Drop’s bassist, Toki, will leave the band after the May 29th Shinsaibashi OSAKA RUIDO live.
There is only a little time left for activity with all of the current members, but we would be truly grateful for your support of kai, Haiji, Koumei, kou,and Toki as the five-member Aqua Drop.
AS Aqua Drop will continue activity without stopping from here on as well, please give us your support.
And it’s selfish, but please be sure to come to the last show with all five members on May 29th at Shinsaibashi OSAKA RUIDO and see Toki off.
Please give us your best.
Aqua Drop, All members
A message from Toki
Everyone, this is Aqua Drop’s bassist, Toki
At this time it has been decided that I’ll leave the band after the May 29th live
The reason is because I’m going to Tokyo for work
It was September last year when I became a member of Aqua Drop, and
It’s exactly because I was able to meet the other memebers kai, Haiji, Koumei, and kou
That I was able to find myself
I want to become a lecturer!! This idea has become even stronger
I want to turn myself into the kind of passionate musician the other members are
That sort of feeling has grown strong
Everyone, thank you for supporting Toki of Aqua Drop
Please be sure to come to my last live on May 29th

Updates from THE GALLO
19
May, 2013
![]()

Having just celebrated their fourth anniversary earlier this month, THE GALLO is alive and kicking, making more and more magazine appearances and gaining more traction as they move ahead at full speed. There’s a lot for their fans to look forward to this summer and fall!
First, the band will be holding their biggest self-sponsored one-man live this year on June 8th — “Shin ・ Kokkei Sensen Fukoku” — to celebrate vocalist Jojo’s birthday. Tickets are on sale for the live, which will take place at Ikebukuro EDGE. There are three bonuses for attendees!
- A free distribution DVD just for attending
- The one-and-only chance to purchase the limited release, “Maou -kyousou-”, for ¥1000
- A chance to take a picture with the band (attendees must provide their own camera)
Members of the band have hinted at new costumes to come soon — though it may be ambitious to expect them at the June show — as well as an announcement to be made at the live. A limited birthday stamp rally will launch at THE GALLO’s June 8th live as well; fans will be given a stamp card with which they can collect a prize this autumn if they manage to attend birthday lives for Jojo, guitarist Wajou, and drummer Kaede and receive stamps for their patronage. The prize has not yet been announced.
Perhaps even bigger news than such an exciting live comes from a recent issue of V-splash, the first place in which THE GALLO officially announced that they will be releasing their first full-length album in the autumn! There are no further details, but June may bring more information regarding this release as well.
Though known for not being particularly active in summer months, the band has a couple of upcoming event lives in Tokyo.

About a week ago, Serial⇔NUMBER’s own Yui casually announced on his blog that support bassist Ryou has officially joined the band!

Ryou
Bass
Birthday: 10/28
Blood Type: O
Officially four members strong, putting out three months of consecutive releases this summer. Each release is a double A-side single, meaning that each single will have two title tracks. The first, released on May 10th, is called 「琉海道夢/DENKI GIRL」 (“Ryuukaidoumu / DENKI GIRL”), costs ¥1,260, contains a DVD — and is limited to 100 serialized copies. Unfortunately, the CD is limited to live sales.
There isn’t much information about the upcoming singles, but at least the dates have been decided –
June 21 @ Ikebukuro BlackHole
July 24 @ Ikebukuro EDGE
Though we can only assume that each single will be limited to lives, it appears that copies won’t be limited to one day, but available until they sell out. With that in mind, there are several upcoming chances to see Serial⇔NUMBER this spring and summer, with more sure to come!

Glam Grammar to lose Ray
18
May, 2013
![]()
Glam Grammar, whom after having released their third maxi single 「夢のつづき」(Yume no Tsuzuki) in April, have made a sad announcement. Their guitarist Ray will be leaving the band.

An important message to all Glam Grammar fans as well as all staff
Thank you for always supporting Glam Grammar.
We have an important message for everyone. At this time we are announcing that after the June 22, 2013 live, guitarist Ray will leave the band due to his situation at home.
We would like to express our gratitude and regret to all of the fans and staff who have cheered us on since our formation.Along with this, we have decided that the present four members — Ayumu, Shuuta, Ritsu, and marsa — will carry out scheduled activities after June 22nd without stopping.
The members and staff will do their very best so please give us your unwavering support.
–The following is a comment from Ray———————–
As has been announced, I will leave Glam Grammar after June 22nd for my situation at home.
I’m really sorry.
I’ve become unable to focus on band activities from here on like I did before now.
However, since my feelings of love towards guitar and music won’t change, I would like to continue with music at my own pace.I will take a different road than the others, but since I’ll be supporting Glam Grammar from here on, and since I think I’ll go to the lives sometimes, if you happen to see me at a venue please say hi!
In order to to have no regrets as Glam Grammar’s Ray during the remaining time until June 22nd, I’ll give it my all, so let’s meet again with smiling faces!
The time is short, but the time I’ve passed with the members, staff, personnel, and supporting fans is a life treasure to me.
Thank you, really!
