Finally some real news coming from 華音 (Kanon)! After 3 live-distributed CDs in 2009, they have finally announced that their first single will soon be coming out! To promote this first single, the band will also sponsor its first event!

The event will be hold on May 12th at HOLIDAY Osaka along with other bands such as : Ridiot, LAGING, VANDECK, アリィ (Allie) and Shade_

By the way, this first single will be called 「Answer」… and that’s about all we know so far. But of course, we’ll keep you updated!

Next step for The Riotts

Mike has moved on from doing guest vocals for the band, he even deleted his blog. As you can see from the new graphic from their main page, the trio are moving onto the next step to their future. Seems like we will be seeing a more permanent vocalist with the band soon…and perhaps even a fifth member! Seems like 2 silhouettes are shown on the image. If you go to profile here, you can see 2 new un named positions have been added. Who can they be? Any guesses??!

News from Ridiot

There’s a bunch of good news for Ridiot’s fans ! It looks like the guys are really doing their best: new single, first lives in Tokyo, first sponsored event!

Let’s start with the live part. As I told you, Ridiot will perform for the first time in Tokyo! They will actually be there for two days:

Date: April 1st @ HOLIDAY Shinjuku
Performing: Ridiot, Medi＠lize, Ziggrat, Shushu, Jelsea

Date:April 2nd @ Ikebukuro Black Hole
Performing: Ridiot, RE:NN, guardant, Virulent, AnliPollicino, NaiL, Lilas, 鬼一家 (Kichiku Ikka)

As for their first sponsored event, it will take place in HOLIDAY Osaka on March 26th ! Some of the other bands taking part in this event are: 華音 (Kanon), アリィ (Allie), ヱリザ (Eriza) and C≠P.

This event is also organized to promote their 3rd single 「LITTLE WING」 that will come out the very same day. This new single will contain 3 songs and cost 1000 yen:

02. BLUFFING
03. SIXTH TIMES GO AHEAD!

Other than that, the band has also announced that they will soon be revealing their brand new look (on March 21st)…

Details on Cla vi us 2nd single

As Inka told you last month, Cla vi us is going to release their second maxi-single, about 6 months after 「未来、時々雨」 (Mirai, Tokidoki Ame). We now have some more details about this second single that will finally be called 「二十五時の色彩〜colors〜」 (Nijugoji no Irodori~colors~). This new single will go on sale on March 24th and will contain 4 tracks for only 1260 yen:

Schwarz’s limited project : the Distorted my stratic Faith

A few months after Schwarz has left ケミカルピクチャーズ (Chemical Pictures), it seems he’s already back on the scene with a brand new (but time-limited) project called the Distorted my stratic Faith. So far, the band is only made of two members: Schwarz and さくら (Sakura) who’s been in SKULL from 2003 to July 2008.

They have also announced a few events they’ll be taking part in, but no release seems to be planned so far (if they ever release anything).

This looks really nice to me, and the members are also really cool, but I wonder, with just a guitarist and a bassist, who’s singing? Or is it just instrumental? I know they already have at least 6 songs but I wonder how it sounds… What do you think?

Anima down one

アニマ (Anima) has just announced that they would soon be losing a member. After their sponsored event on March 23rd at Meguro Rock Maykan, kirch (vocalist) will withdraw from the band.

They say this is the result of numerous meeting they’ve been having but also that they will continue on without him.
Also, kirch has written a nice comment about him leaving アニマ (Anima) :

This time, it’s been decided that I will withdraw from the band after our live on March 23rd.
As for the reason, I would just say [in one word] that it is due to personal circumstances.
Lately, it’s become harder to keep on [this lifestyle] being a musician, but anyway I was part of アニマ.
We’ve only formed about 8 months ago now, and although this was a rather short period, to all those who have been linked to アニマ in a way or another, to our fans, and also to the lovely members of the band with whom I’ve shared joys and sorrows for those 8 months, I want to put all my gratitude and respect into those words :

「Thank you」

It seems they haven’t decided yet what they will do after this departure, but we’ll keep you updated.

New single for LAYZis

LAYZis will be releasing a new double-sided single this spring!

The single will be called 「IN PAIN/脆く美しきモノ」 (Yowaku Utsukushiki Mono) and as you can see in the photo above, it’s going on sale May 5th.

The single will contain only the title tracks (two) for 1050 yen.

According to Shunsuke, 「IN PAIN」 is a rock song, whereas 「脆く美しきモノ」 (Yowaku Utsukushiki Mono) is more of a pop song. He also wrote that Satoru’s guitar solo in 「脆く美しきモノ」 (Yowaku Utsukushiki Mono) is amazingly awesome.

New Onmyouza’s DVD

陰陽座 (Onmyouza) are going to release a new live DVD entitled「龍凰輪舞」(Ryuuourinbu) on the 21st of April! It will feature the footage from the tour final of their 10th anniversary live that took place at Tokyo JCB Hall on the 29th of December.

New band – PieRiS

PieRis is a very fresh band, which actually will have their first live on the 6th of April at Shinjuku RUIDO K4! Anyway, the members are:

Megamasso’s new single

Although they just released their first major album, 「M of Beauty」 today, メガマソ (Megamasso) is working hard, and have announced that they will be releasing their third major maxi-single in the spring!

The title will be 「トワイライトスター」 (Twilight Star) and it’s coming out on May 26th.

Not many details are available yet, however, it will be used as the ending theme of the NHK educational anime, 「メジャー第６シーズン」 (Major 6th Season) starting on April 3rd at 6:00pm.

The band’s first major single, 「予感」 (Yokan) is coming out on May 26th in two types. The first press edition costs 1890 yen, and comes with the CD as well as a DVD contaning the PV for the title track. The regular press is 1260 yen, and contains the CD only.

Before, we talked about heidi.’s new song being used as the ending for the anime, 「会長はメイド様」 (Kaichou wa Maid-sama). It turns out that 「予感」 (Yokan) will be that song, and it’ll be starting up in April.

shouD is a band we haven’t introduced here before so let me start with that. The members are:
